The Hitchcock-Butterfield Company began in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1996. J. Frederic & Vera Cohen, owners of Lamp & Lantern Store (now Lamps & More), saw a void in the retail home market and decided to expand their product line to meet this need.
Fred began his career as a territorial sales rep, and later expanded into retail with The Lamp & Lantern store. With the birth of The Hitchcock-Butterfield Company, he has further expanded his expertise into manufacturing. Other accomplishments include serving a term on the Board of Directors for the National Home Lighting Institute, and the development of Sparkle Plenty, the first spray-on, no-wipe chandelier cleaner.
With over 38 years of sales experience, Fred & Vera offer a wide selection of American made mirrors. I just received this mirror and my husband mounted it. It is absolutely gorgeous! We installed it in a renovated bathroom and I just love it! It blends perfectly with the brushed stainless steel faucet we chose and the dark granite. This is a guest bath and I wanted it to be nice. The mounting hardware is very secure and placed well and the beveled edges of the mirror go very nicely with the frame. The overall construction is superb!
