The Hitchcock-Butterfield Company began in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1996. J. Frederic & Vera Cohen, owners of Lamp & Lantern Store (now Lamps & More), saw a void in the retail home market and decided to expand their product line to meet this need.
Fred began his career as a territorial sales rep, and later expanded into retail with The Lamp & Lantern store. With the birth of The Hitchcock-Butterfield Company, he has further expanded his expertise into manufacturing. Other accomplishments include serving a term on the Board of Directors for the National Home Lighting Institute, and the development of Sparkle Plenty, the first spray-on, no-wipe chandelier cleaner.
With over 38 years of sales experience, Fred & Vera offer a wide selection of American made mirrors. Wanted large mirror over my living room couch. Did not want a heavy frame. Frame may be somewhat thicker - about 4.5" - & slightly darker in color that I anticipated but it is very nice & for the money I did not find anything more appropriate.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was a few days later than first promised but I believe that was weather related. Not a problem for me.
